The Florida International University (FIU) Board of Trustees unanimously appointed former Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nuñez as its new president, solidifying her transition from interim president as of June 2, 2025. Nuñez will begin with a five-year contract, commanding a base salary of $925,000 complemented by potential performance bonuses that could increase her earnings by an additional $400,000 annually.
